Fragrant Harbour

As far as I know it´s true Hong Kong ist just an expression for fragant harbour. But that doesn´t mean one has to expect the harbour water to smell like a big bottle of Dolce & Gabbana! Nor can you go for some duty free shopping aboard of the Star Ferry from Kowloon to Central. What the smell really is - we´ll take a sniff next week...

Tonight we´ll be back at Odonia State, the wicked arty/party site in Cologne.  The local label Traum is celebrating its 100th release, bringing Dominik Eulberg and other DJs along. The weather could warmer, but this might result in the ever important burning oil barrels during the night!

Something Oily

My recent profits out of speculation with crude materials makes me wonder what does happen on a larger scale at the moment. If I can get away with some serious profit in less than two months, what sums do large scale investors gain? As long as the oil price pushes forward, there seems to be no limit for this kind of speculation. This really isn´t about generating values, it´s a sort of milking the hype.

Hail Howells!

We must state that Danny Howells is a really cool DJ! Sorry for the delay, but we already saw him last Monday morning, blowing a mediocre party mood away and making us dance ourselves well into the early hours. Needless to say daylight came up when we finally returned to Cologne. So in between we did have to recover from this party fuelled long weekend... Please do remember, if Danny Howells is close to you, go out and see him!

Long Haul

Flying to Munich and back during the last two days reminded me that pretty soon we´ll have to face a long haul flight again! Not that I fancy sitting in a plane for eleven hours very much, but it´s a lot more fun going on a holiday than a business trip. Especially if your legs have a wee bit of more space and the dinner you´ll see isn´t just a luke slice of pizza or a collection of salty nuts. And as Cathay promises a Personal Television, I think we´ll enjoy the Hindu meal even more...

Why Hindu meals for a German couple devoid of any religious leanings? The Hindu meals on flights to Asia are much more tasty than the standard European pasta or fish dish they serve. Try it yourself one day. And make sure you spot the desperate stewardess looking for the two Indians that must have ordered the religious meal - good fun!
