Arp Odyssey

Did I mention I recently bought a very old fashioned synthesizer at eBay? This pur- chase is not a polyphonic digital work- station with 2500 presets, it is a monophonic, non-MIDI, analogue synth from the late 70s/early 80s! So why bother buying this item at a price that makes one blush? It´s the SOUND! You can hear this wicked machine on records by Ultravox, John Foxx, Gary Numan, Herbie Hancock and others. Just like it´s 70s rival Mini Moog synthsizer the sound of the Odyssey is unique and can be spotted from miles away. Around 4000 were build from 1972-1981. This actually one of the last ones produced. Just as other inno- vative companies, Arp didn´t survive the 80s.
